info

Moritz Maas is a visual artist and painter from Witten, Germany, who specializes in large-format, figurative oil paintings.
Maas combines traditional techniques with modern color schemes to present timeless themes in a fresh and engaging manner.
His artworks are characterized by precise, naturalistic representation coupled with expressive, vibrant color elements; they do not dwell in mere depiction but reveal a blend of technical sophistication, emotional depth, and an enthusiastic, free process.
His works reflect a profound engagement with the human condition and its environment, inviting viewers to explore the subtle nuances of the depicted subjects and emotions.
After studying Digital Film and Animation in Cologne and working for many years in the film industry as a cameraman and in post-production, Maas increasingly dedicated himself to fine art and painting, eventually making it his central profession.
Currently, Moritz is further developing his artistic skills at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. He is active in the local art scene and regularly exhibits his work in various exhibitions.
Moritz Maas remains committed to advancing his artistic vision and sharing his unique perspective on the world through his art
